AYUDANOS A REALIZARLO.

Collective Intelligence: catalyze efforts to promote collaborative synergies.

Individuals can have 3 levels of involvement within us.
They are Members, avaWisers and Connectors.

Members are individuals who identify themselves with the avaWise mission, values and culture, and actively contribute to community activities, such as events, projects or online discussions.

avaWisers are the active members that put our mission into action day by day. They are community and/or project connectos who active ideas, people and organizations around the collaborative urbanism and civic engagement. They participate in the co-creation of the AVA strategy and take part in decision-making processes.

Connectors are the highly members who run the organization on a day-to-day basis. They execute the strategy co-created with the community. They are aware about the wide range of projects the community is developing locally and globally and connect them for real. Connectors take care of the community and take action to federate the global knowledge and experience and use it for local action.

Our Governance is based on: Communities, Project, Circles and Networks.

Communities are groups of people who exchange knowledge on a subject. They may be local or global. These are mostly online communities that using Facebook groups as a communication platform.

The Projects are seen as concrete actions.

Circles appear when a community starts to develop projects. Circles can be inclusive and not exclusive. They should aim at engaging new members, however at no time, may this hinder other circles from being generated.

The networks are sets of circles. They are inclusive, but can also be exclusive. Once a network has been built on a topic or a territory, a similar network cannot appear anywhere else. The role of the network is to promote communication and exchange between the circles and coordination in complex projects where more circles are involved.

What are we doing ?

Our mission is to empower citizens by fostering collaborative urbanism, promoting civic innovation and inspiring better civic engagement.

We provides a federated system to its members, so that the values, knowledge and reputation generated anywhere in the world will serve as a support for the development of new projects. We also aim at providing an infrastructure that simplifies the project development and generates a true P2P consulting system.

We wants to canalise and use the global knowledge to improve any local civic project, involving people all around the world that are facing similar problems. The aim is to federate the global knowledge and experience and use it for local action.

To achieve it we have to change the way how we work. It’s why, one of the main innovation that we introduces is a Distributed Governance and a Peer to Peer Advice System.

Help any citizen or organization to develop community-led projects, providing protocols and tools for a successful codesign process. So far have shaped a beta version of a Civic Design Method based on a 10 steps process and it’s using it to shape openly and collaboratively the platform itself.

The international scale of the project will forge a new useful Civic and Open Big Data for a wider understanding of ways of improving Civic Engagement and of promoting citizen participation.

We promotes a better collaboration between :
public, university, local business, local authorities, local social developpment.

The Governance is based on Local Circles constantly connected with the global community. To ensure a distributed and inclusive approach, Local Circles are not exclusive and representative for a specific territory; they are independent but they must not work in competition.

To get people connected and collaborating without a hierarchical governance a clear communication infrastructure and protocol is essential.
